The writing of Pillow Safety is nourished by the richness of the materials - choreographic, scenographic, cosmetic, political - offered by the practice of Roller Derby. On the ground, a black andyellow marking tape delimits a space that is as much a playground as a wrestling area. How to negotiate with weight, gravity and the increased risk of falling? Roller Derby also allows Pillow Safety to push the door of gender by questioning the notion of virility, and more precisely that of female virility. How can we invent a female virility that is neither pejorative nor oxymoronic? Or finally, according to the logic of the clean slate, to get rid of them once and for all?
