As in previous works, the choreographer investigates the relationship between body and matter, staging materials not as pure background, nor as narrative objects, but putting them on the same level of importance as the dancer. The dance is thus imbued with the sounds, forms, visible and tactile qualities of wood that in turn becomes a dancing body.

Lara Russo is choreographer and performer, she studied and worked in Barcelona and Berlin, she’s now based in Bologna. In 2013 she won the G'da award for Young Italian Choreographers. In 2014 she won the audience prize at the Oriente Occidente festival in Rovereto. In 2015 she won the DNAppunti choreographic award which brough ther to her debut at the 2016 Venice Biennale. In 2011 she started teaching improvisation and composition at the A.F.I professional school directed by Brigel Gjoka.
