Two twin brothers: one has a moustaches, the other one doesn't, one stutters, the other talks fluently. They smell of sweets and listen to the radio: music, a lot of music. The pastry shop is their home. A world that stopped at 4am: melted chocolate, puff pastry light like feather, sponge cake, meringues like snow, arabic fry, almond biscuit and bavarese... Everything moves, flies, dances and slips in everywhere. Like Cyrano and Cristiano, they wait for their Rossana. Where else but in the pastry shop do you want to wait for her?
But in addition to flour, butter and chocolate, the ingredients for the pièce are the roaring musics (Lou Reed, Rolling Stones, Prince) and a certain subtle comicity, made of stunned glances, effective gestures and irreverent ballets (...) the sweets, the real ones, leave on the palate the memory of a unique flavour. Like the successful recipe of the alchemy of "Pastry chefs". (Tiziana Carpinelli - Il piccolo)
